The Human Tutorial
Accurate historical recreation
For one afternoon, participants will experience an educational format once common in universities: two people in a room talking about an essay without computational assistance.
The room has been reconstructed with books, paper, coffee and uninterrupted time. Participants will receive a printed text in advance. During the tutorial no search, transcription, summarisation or generative systems will be available.
The event forms part of our Artificial Universities programme. It treats human-only education as though it were already a heritage practice — an inversion intended to make contemporary assumptions about efficiency, attention and intellectual labour easier to see.
